Culled from a large collection of hand-traded CDRs, cassette tapes and videos that Compton has built over his career, Mike and his band of Nashville’s finest acoustic musicians, worked up fresh arrangements to these tunes that Compton curated from across Monroe’s career…and all the tunes but one were composed by Monroe himself. This project is the work of a detective, a historian and a master musician.
